How is this magic trick done? 2 audience members on stage. Magician touches one, but both feel it

2 seemingly random audience members are brought on stage. They are both blindfolded. The magician says, “I’m going to touch random parts of your body. When you feel it, point to the place that I touched you.”

So the magician will touch one of the people on, say, the shoulder, and BOTH of the people will point to their shoulder. Then the knee, and again, BOTH people feel it. This happens multiple times, on different parts of the body.

I’ve seen Banachek do this multiple times live on stage. Anyone know how this is done?

I’ve seen them hold a piece of invisible thread between their thumbs, put their hands on both sides of closed eyed participant’s head and touch them somewhere like forehead, nose, chin, etc. then touch opened eyed participant with an object on the same place. When asking closed eyed participant they just say where they felt the thread.
