It’d seem that much less like trolling if the OP would come back to the thread and comment on the responses to his post- although that assumes he’s amenable to correction. Maybe someone can ask him?

I’ve never come across a Linux user or Unix (other than the Mac OS) user who rails or otherwise badmouths the Mac OS and its users as do Windows users. Computer-forum sites (including Ars Technica) are replete with them.

You can troll and be sincere at the same time. It’s all in the content of the posts. If you’re posting to debate some issue, you’re not trolling, no matter how inflammatory your position is. If you’re posting to draw attention to yourself and rile people up you are trolling, even if you sincerely believe in what you espouse.
