You’re talking about the guy who was heard on tape boasting how he would “grab them [women] by the pussy” during his the campaign and has been revealed to have paid off a porn star shortly after his marriage to Melania, and he still has uniformly high approval among evangelicals (men and women), and pretty consistent ratings among Republican voters as a whole. He’s pretty much pissed off everyone who is going to be offended by his egregious piggishness. And you’ll never profit in overestimating Trump’s capacity for obliviousness.
You can’t go on as communication director if you admit that you’re a habitual liar. Between that and being involved with a guy who turned out to be a two-time wife beater, I can’t blame her for packing it in.
Somehow, I feel like that’s not the largest crime in the world from the vantage of Trump himself. “Truthful hyperbole” is, after all, one of his key teachings to all the Trump-wannabes.
She’s under criminal investigation, she lost her boyfriend, her boyfriend was revealed to be a two-time wife beater, and she’s got her boss/sugar daddy pressuring her to do whatever it takes to keep him out of jail.
I suppose that it’s not inconceivable that she was fired, but I suspect she’s just decided that the sugar ain’t sweet enough.
CNN was reporting internal White House sources saying that Trump berated her afterward for admitting to “white lies” although, of course, the White House denies this.
I guess I imagined a scene with the bloated Donald lying on a chaise lounge with his tongue out as he pulls a chained, metal bikini clad Hope toward him. Not sure who would be the little guy laughing his head off. Maybe Li’l Donald?
