We’ve got tickets to the Michael Jackson show here in Charlotte tomorrow night and have a sort of conflict later in the evening (have to pick someone up at the airport).
The show starts at 8:00. If we have to leave at, say, 9:15, should we even bother going?
I remembered the shows as being a couple of hours and this backs me up on that. Honestly, I think you’d miss too much. Can your airport person hang on for you?
Based on Charley’s link, it’s 2:10 with the intermission. If it started at 8, I’d guess you’d be actually driving away at 10:30-10:45. I would either skip it or arrange another ride for your friend.
What time does your friend land at? Add 20 minutes for them to get their bags and see if they’re okay hanging out at the airport for a little while. If I were them, I’d be okay for 20-30 minutes, beyond that I’d probably just get a cab, but no matter what the case is you better tell me you already had the tickets before you promised to pick me up. If you have any other mutual friends, see if you can send them.
For reasons of time and also because it turns out my wife has already seen this show (which I didn’t know when I posted the OP) to skip it and let others use our tickets.
