I am currently in the process of trying to change my ISP from BT to AOL, in order to do this I have been told by AOL that I need a MAC code from BT. No problem, I rang BT and they gave me the number, I then tried to enter the code into AOL’s online sign up form but the code was too long to fit into the space provided. So I rang AOL and gave all the details over the phone, all seemed well until this morning when I got a letter from AOL telling me that the MAC code had been rejected, I called BT back and confirmed that the number I had was correct so now I am confused.
The code I have been issued is of the format:
13 characters / 5 characters
Is this code the correct length? It was the first section (before the “/”) that was too long for the online form.
