I get to the guys page,draft a letter,completely well thought-out,
hit send, I get this in Red, “Your Letter is too Long”
I edit it 3 times,same message…out of frustration, I type one

That whole domain seems pretty slow to me… also the guy’s images are all busted, but that seems unrelated. The textarea restriction will, in well-behaved browsers, prevent you from typing more than that, but that’s all. The error code isn’t generated via JScript or anything, and is being returned by Apple’s server itself.
That form doesn’t work for me in either Mozilla, IE or lynx - the form parser is definately borked. I’ve sent some feedback via their main feedback form - you can do the same if you want.
I’ve got some stuff hosted on the mac.com domain, and it’s very zippy – there’s something seriously borked up about that guy’s page, is all.
I blame amateur HTML coding.
I’m not familiar with the directory structure of Macs, but it did seem to me he’d done the Mac equivalent of using “W:\My Documents\images” for the img src.
src="/i/hpti/1/wimg/ModernMenu2/mpmd_spc_headbotctr.gif", etc.
That’s regular Unix directory structure, nothing odd about it. Should equate to

(note that there’s a redirect of the URL “http://homepage.mac.com/noelharrison” to “http://homepage.mac.com/noelharrison/CDs/Menu4.html”, so the subURLs would be interpreted relative to that directory)
I’m on a Mac and I didn’t ever get his pix to load either, though; and the above URL direct to the headbotctr.gif file is DOA.
Fooey. One time when I should have turned out auto-parse URLs, I guess.
