I went back and forth in college, although never moustache-only unless as a joke while I was in the process of removing the beard. In my mid-to-late 20s I usually had the full moustache/goatee. When I got married, my new wife hated the goatee look and insisted on all or nothing, so it’s been a full beard ever since (except once when I let my cub scouts shave it off). Including the goatee phase, that’s over 20 years.
Not 40 though. I don’t think beards were allowed in the second grade.
