How many championships have "your teams" won since you started following them?

My father went to his first game at Wrigley in 1929. He sat against the left field wall (no bleachers there yet) behind a rope. 40 years later I went through puberty in the left field bleachers, so tell me about it :frowning:

I now live in the Bay Area and am an A’s fan - took about a decade to jettison the Cubs. I still follow them though. I think its a joke how Ricketts is beckoning to fans to come celebrate 100 years of Wrigley Field … while he defaces it. :smack: What a weenie.

Just got the recently released, “Wrigley Field: The Long Life and Contentious Times of the Friendly Confines” by Stuart Shea. Its good!

Seattle: 1

I don’t count sports other than the big 4 in the US and local big time college sports.

Bengals: none
Reds: none since I started following them when I moved to the area in 1992
UK Wildcats: 1996, 1998, 2012

So, three. I’d really like to see one for the Bengals before I die, and I realize how much that is asking of the football gods, as they are unmerciful.

Angels: 2002
Giants: 2010 and 2012

Warriors: N/A
Clippers: N/A

LA Rams: N/A

NL: Dodgers (1965-1990) 3
Braves (1991-2004) 1
Nats v. 3.0 (2005-present) 0

AL: Nats v.2.0 (1965-1971) 0
O’s (1977-1997) 1
NFL: Redskins (1966-2011) 3

NBA: Bullets 1

College FB: USC (C=California) (1965-75) 3
USC (C=Carolina) (1988-2011) 0

Miami Dolphins have 2 Super Bowl wins. They are both ancient, but one was a perfect season. I can still recite the fight song by heart.

They could use a more recent win.

St Louis Cardinals fan by birth, Kansas City Royals fan by transplant.
So, Cardinals - 5: 1964, 1967, 1982, 2006, 2011
I would count the Royals world series win in 1985 except it was against my Cardinals.
Also:
KU basketball - 2: 1988, 2008
KU football - hah! Not in my lifetime!

L.A. Lakers: 7
Florida Gators football: 3
Gators basketball: 2
Chicago Bears: 1
Chicago Cubs: 0

L.A. Dodgers: 1981, 1988, stopped following shortly after.
Anaheim Angels: 2002, still following (despite that “Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim” crap)
L.A. Rams: '79 NFC champs; moved to St. Louis, screw 'em.
L.A. Raiders: ex-Oakland??? Are you kidding me??
L.A. Kings: '93 Conference champs; lost interest in hockey altogether.
Anaheim “Mighty” Ducks: '02 Conf., '07 Stanley Cup; after I lost interest in hockey altogether.
Never followed basketball with any passion.

But can you rap convincingly like Mercury Morris?

I only follow baseball. 3 WS wins. Also 4 WS losses. And 2 more WS wins when I was too young to be a fan.

LA/St Louis Rams-One
Cincinnati Reds-Three
Detroit Red Wings-Four
Philadelphia 76er’s-One

I peg my first sports memories in 1995/96 when I was seven.

Dallas Stars - 1 in 1999
Dallas Cowboys - 1 in 1995 (I was very young for the earlier ones)
Texas Rangers - 0

OSU Cowboys football - 0
OSU Cowboys basketball - 0
Other OSU sports I was into - 1 (wrestling in 2006 - I attended the finals)
OKC Thunder (since 2007) - 0

Norwich City (since 2012) - 0
Any of the various low league soccer teams in OKC - 0
USMNT - 0

Boston teams (since, oh, say mid-80s when I started noticing sports):

Red Sox: 3
Patriots: 3
Bruins: 1
Don’t really care about the Celtics (4 in my lifetime).

Cardinals (since I moved permanently to St. Louis in 2001): 2

To clarify: I am still primarily a Red Sox fan. Cardinals are my second team. Can’t bring myself to care about the Rams or Blues.

From 1976 until 2001: none that I cared about.

Since 2001: 9. Can’t complain.

I would do the same, I would cry openly and in public and I wouldn’t give a damn who saw me. But I don’t see that happening any time soon. A more optimistic friend of mine says 2016 will be their year…

Cubs fan since about 1980, 0 championships
Colts fan since 1984, 1 championship
Blackhawks fan since late 90s or so, 2 championships
Komets (ECHL minor league hockey) fan since early 80s, 5 championships (but none in the ECHL so far, the titles were in the UHL, IHL, and CHL)

All the teams I follow have won precisely two titles; the 1992 and 1993 World Series, by the Blue Jays.

1986 Mets

I stopped watching baseball because it was never going to be better than that. Un-fucking believable to see game six unfold.

Sadly, no.

Reading FC have won the Championship (2nd tier of English soccer) twice since I started following them.

Packers: 2 (maybe 4 - I might have been watching SB I and II, but I was 5ish and can’t remember)
Suns: 0
Diamondbacks: 0 (since I have been following them)
