Well, my husband and I worked for the same company for about 6 months, but we were already married.
Depends how you count it. I was in a 5-way once…should I count the other 2 guys? Either way, add 1 more for the mom of one of my daycare kids, who was also a teacher there.
That sigh gets me every time.
Well, OK then: one. (Me, not Mr. President. Well, him too. At least one.)
Two.
One girlfriend got me a job where she worked, and I got one girlfriend a job where I worked.
But I never just met a coworker and wound up boinking her. As a rule, I don’t go out with coworkers, cow-orkers, etc.
#1 I married.
2 different employer, several years later, but cheated on #1. Then I married #2. (this sounds worse than it is)
3 (an intern) between marriages while I was dating #2
I suppose #4 would be current, but she works with me becuase she’s my gf.
1, 2 and 3 were all over 20 years ago. All are regrettable. (although #2 and I had my two wonderful children, so I can’t regret it too much)
None. (Not because of any ethical stance against it, but because I’m married.)
Self-employed, eh?
Zero.
Don’t shit where you eat, that’s my rule.
When I was an RA in college I had a sexual encounter with my director of residence life. He was a good friend before, but we barely spoke afterwards except when he de-RA’d me. My feelings for him were very strong and it was a big mess.
When I was about 30 I had a really fun relationship with my 55 year old married boss. While I lost some friends over it, I don’t regret it. He was a lot of fun and very nicely stepped aside when I found a decent man to marry.
Three.
Sigh. My current self-employment is nice in many ways, but I do miss that office social environment.
Nine:
[ul][li]One at a Scientologist-run PC shop I teched at in the late eighties.[/li]
[li]Seven at an office equipment company I worked at through most of the nineties. That sounds terrible, but it was spread out and pretty discreet.[/li]
My wife, who works in the same office with me now. (We didn’t meet here, though. Does that count?)[/ul]
one of whom Im currently living with. Met them at college and was just luck enough to get the same job at the same place - saves bus fares!
Hmm… Had to think about this:
Mutual masturbation with one
All the way with a second
Received a BJ from a third (my, that was a long time ago) *
More than I thought on first reading the thread title.
- My not reciprocating was *her * idea… she didn’t want to get too emotionally involved. Go figure.
Zero. Had loads of male friends but never hooked up with any of them. I think it would be very awkward if you broke up with someone you worked with.
Zero.
Don’t date them, just do them!
One - still do 22+years later (although we have different employers now).
Let’s see… (thinking)… 7 for me.
- I was a summer student and she was looking for new material, I guess.
- Same company, but full time now. We worked evenings together and went out for a few drinks after work.
- After the company Christmas party.
- I was 26, she was 19. Good summer that was.
- Another one-nighter after drinks.
- Another entire summer of fun.
- I’m now married to.
Three at this job. The first one got a job elsewhere so we wouldn’t have to deal with rumors or awkwardness at work. I dumped her shortly thereafter.
The second one still works here and I see her every day.
I married the third one. My wife doesn’t know that I slept with the second woman.
It seems like it should have been more, but I can only think of three, and they were all waiters with me when I was a waitress, which was over twenty years ago.
There’s a lot of turnover in inexpensive restaurants, so they weren’t working with each other at the same time.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve slept with a coworker. I guess I just can’t get into the mindset for it anymore. Nowadays I think of them all as professionals.
