Something like this. Of things that we call “computers”, I still have an old NeXT in the attic, and maybe an old Apple or two, as well. Plus the Macbook Pro laptop I’m typing on, my netbook, an old Macbook Pro that I damaged last time I opened, but still mostly works, an old netbook that doesn’t hold a charge but still works when plugged in, a big clunky laptop I bought to be a windows computer, but stopped using because it was big and clunky and had a crappy keyboard and fidgety touch pad, and sometime’s my employer’s laptop is in the house (but not now) plus my husband has a few, and my daughter has at least one working computer, and I think my son has moved all his computers out of the house, but I wouldn’t swear to it…
Oh, and then there’s the Kindle, and the iPad, and several cell phones, and some game systems, and lots of stuff that you don’t think of as “computer” but that has a more powerful inside than that NeXT in the attic, like pocket cameras. And less powerful computers what’s in my dryer or the light-timer.
I have an old 15" HP laptop running XP that I use as a region-free DVD player, a newer 15" HP laptop with Windows 7 as my “home” computer, and a 11" Acer laptop (W7) for my travel computer. I also have a third-generation iPod Touch. Oh, and a basic flip phone that I wouldn’t really classify as a computer.
Up and running? Two. That could run? Six–mostly rather old and given to us for some reason. Absolutely total? 14 I can think of offhand. We’ve never really been able to get rid of our old computers (including people sent us to fix up). There’s only one day a year that they collect them, and we live out of the city limits, so we’d have to drive 'em there ourselves.
I’m not including tablets (1) and smartphone/PDAs(2.5 working, 6.5 otherwise). Or toy computers like the Vtech Whiz Kid (1).
That .5 is a java-based smartphone. It’s kinda in between the dumbphone and smartphone eras, so I call it a half-smart phone.
The oldest computer is a 286 with some pins broken on the hard drive connector. (The probably dead hard drive was 20 MB and had Windows for Workgroups 3.11 on it.) The oldest working one is a 733Mhz Pentium 3 with Windows 98 on it.
The newest ones are the two in use: a Core2Duo laptop and a Pentium D 3.2 Ghz desktop. Technically the latter is newer, but they’re supposedly nearly equal in testing.
Work Dell laptop running Win 7 Pro
Work Android phone
Personal Android phone
1 Android tablet
Current home/gaming PC running Win 10
Previous home/gaming PC running Win 7 that gets used occasionally
Previous-previous home/gaming PC that was running XP, currently has Win 10. Looking to give this one away
An original Asus Eee PC that won’t hold a charge and doesn’t understand my current wi-fi encryption
2 laptops - one for me and one for my son
1 laptop that kind of sort of works that I want to get data off of
2 tablets - one that I don’t use anymore and one my son uses only when we go somewhere
1 smartphone that I use
I Kindle - I have no idea where it is. It was a freebie from irk and I haven’t used it in years.
A whole bunch of old smartphones I don’t use anymore but keep as backups in case this one breaks - one galaxy note 2, two or three blackberries. I should probably re-home them.
My son has a bunch of game systems, I don’t know what he has but some of them probably have a computer in them - maybe, I don’t know, that’s his thing not mine.
As far as I know none of my TVs or appliances have computers in them, I suppose I should care but I don’t.
2 PCs - one Win7, one Win10, 2 laptops, same systems, one Samsung tablet that I just use to play a couple of games.
My husband just dug out his old smartphone - he decided he didn’t like the flip phone after all. And I found his ancient Blackberry in a drawer, but it’s destined for recycling, methinks.

A Dell Latitude E5500 laptop (my wife) running Win 7.
A home-brew “ship of theseus” desktop PC that I’ve had for about 16 years now. Current config is a AMD FX-6300 processor, 16 gigs of RAM, about 4 terabytes of drive space, and a ATI Radeon R9 380x graphics card. Runs Win 7
My wife and I both have Samsung Galaxy S5 phones.
We have an old first-generation iPad as well, but I don’t think we’ve turned that on in the last 2 years or so.
And if you’re counting computer-like devices, we have:
1 Xbox One
1 Xbox 360 (not used anymore)
1 Kindle Fire 1st generation
1 Kindle Touch (ca-2012 vintage)
1 Kindle Touch (late 2015 vintage)
