One Doper going on the internet, finding the correct procedure and following it until the lightbulb is changed. Of course there are about 15 discussing the idea here now (along with some odd tangents) but they werent really changing the lightbulb…
You’ve probably already thought of this, Drum God, but if I were in your place, I wouldn’ t put that globe back on. That way, you can just use your lightbulb changing tool, and not worry about the globe. (I’m assuming here that this is your basement stairwell, and if it isn’t, felicitous interior decorating isn’t a fetish with you.)
