Me: two, one for work, one for home. I know, I know, I’m a lightweight. Who here has the most?
Only three for me: work, personal and general.
- One provider and two redirects to that provider.
I’m sure I don’t have the most, but I’ll bet I’m up there. I’ve got at least 15 corporate email addresses, another 6 or 8 personal, one for school. What’s that? Almost 25? Sounds a bit high, but it’s in the ball park.
Three. Work, friends and one for websites like here.
Active? I have 4. School, main, msn and a throwaway for those sites I’m unsure about.
Total? Somewhere in the range of 30+ but that’s because I role play and the boards that are used in most places I play require a new email everytime you make a new name. Those are used just long enough to activate the name and then tossed, at least until I discovered www.mytrashmail.com
Currently? Home, work, alternate home, two AIM addresses from my two AIM accounts, one I have never used to send or recieve mail in over ten years, my college alumni e-mail (which I never check), and one or two others.
Hmmm. I’ve had as many as eleven at a time; three are gone now.
I have two on my dial-up account,
one on my cable account,
one on my gmail account,
one on my work account, plus three redirects,
one on my account on my friend’s server, plus one redirect,
and one on an old AOL account.
Five.
- A ‘throwaway’ address that I got many years ago to send spam to – it’s turned into my oldest, most stable email address. I use it for the SDMB, in fact.
- My ISP assigned email.
- My original work assigned email.
- My new work assigned email (we were just acquired).
- A real throwaway Hotmail address that I send spam to.
Over the years, I’ve had at least 5 other email addresses, all now defunct due to work changes, Internet business failures, and forgetfulness.
Over the years, I’ve probably had a dozen or so, but now I have two (well, three, but I keep my work address strictly work-related). One Gmail, which is my “real” one, and a Yahoo account, which I send spam and business-type stuff to.
Three - regular, school, and work (or anywhere else where I want people to take me seriously).
One at home, one at work, and three Yahoo accounts. I did have a couple of other ones, if you count ISPs that went bankrupt or were acquired by other ISPs that later went bankrupt or were acquired (eg.: infinet.com, @home.com). Oh, I think I have an MSN account that I had to create when I got MSN Messenger. I’ve never even looked at it.
4, one for employer, parent company, company I consult for and home.
Two - a main email and a spamtrap/MSN sign-in.
One AOL, two Hotmail–one for professional stuff and one for friends and fam; one from the workplace server.
Two, both through Yahoo. One that I consider “real”, which is in my profile here. One that I use for online ordering and whenever I need to provide an email address for something I don’t entirely trust. That 2nd email address currently has over 3,000 emails in the “junk” folder. I suppose I should go in and delete them.
I have 4: one at work, one on AOL, one on the cable ISP that I never use and a “spamtrap/MSN sign in”. (I like that description)
One at work, one personal that I give out, one personal that I only use for people who are likely to send glurge and/or fwds, and one personal that I’ve given out to no one, so far (it’s a backup, I guess).
14
- 1 Hotmail (first email address ever, still used for logging on to MSN messenger)
- 1 university email address (now a redirect, since I graduated)
- 3 Yahoo accounts (one primary, one for good website registrations, and one for spam and random website registrations)
- 4 Gmail accounts (mostly used when I need to transfer large files between computers, so I email them to myself)
- probably 4 or 5 other emails accounts created in the past, but not used in several years and now I can’t remember my logon names and/or passwords
Actually, it should be 16. I have two corporate emails (full-time job and a part-time job).
