Today being Memorial Day, I thought this might be a fitting question. From the Revolutionary War through today, how many US men and women have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country? If it’s been asked before, then let’s see the answer again once more, please. I think it’s important.

Nothing to add to the OP except to express my admiration for the Gettysburg Address as one of the finest speeches of it’s kind, and to cite the phrase “last full measure of devotion” as one of the most touching tributes to patriotism I’ve ever heard.
