How many languages appeared on your Facebook feed in the last month?

I’ve recently become aware of how multilingual my Facebook friends are. I expect this is typical, given how easy travel and communications are these days. Let’s see how Dopers fare.

Polling options will be attached momentarily.

I went back and counted for myself.

I have eight languages in the past month.
English – all the time, from many friends.
Korean – all the time, from many friends.
Spanish – frequently, several friends.
One friend for each of these languages who post infrequently: Danish, French, Galego, German, Portuguese.

I think just English, Spanish, German, Dutch and Norwegian in the past month.

I get the odd bit of French, Irish, Catalan, Welsh and Greek as well on occasion, but I’ve not noticed any lately. There’s a few people who will have posts with 3+ languages in the replies. Mostly the two Dutch guys I know.

English.

I don’t get it. Why would other languages appear on my FB feed?

I would guess (is there a way to count?):

English
Italian
Turkish
Portuguese
Polish
Probably Spanish and French, though that’s just an odds game

Leaffan like people commenting on things that you see.

Either 3 or 4, depending on whether you count Dutch and Afrikaans as different languages.
Brazilian Portuguese
Hindi
Thai

In estimated (decreasing) order of frequency:

English
Mandarin
Greek
Spanish
Japanese
French
Korean

Two, but ONLY because earlier in the month my cousin’s husband, who is Mexican, hopped on to her account and started ranting in Spanish.

Every other day of every other year, it’s only English up in here.

English
Arabic
French
Spanish
German
Hebrew

I have friends and family who do not speak English as their main language. They will often post and communicate in their primary language. Facebook is international, so it’s not surprising that people may use other languages.

English, Malagasy, Spanish, Mongolian, Russian, maybe Urdu (can’t remember) so five or six.

If you count various foreign politicians I follow on FB then there’s a few more.

English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Dutch, mostly. Though I’ve also gotten a little Russian, Arabic, and Hebrew.

I think only 3. English, Hungarian, and Dutch. Oh, wait, maybe I should have voted four. I’m sure there’s a Spanish in there somewhere.

Oh, I forgot - also some French, a tiny bit of Japanese, and Hindi.
