How many miles on your car?

1998 Mercury Sable wagon - 170K. I bought it in 2006 with about 80K miles.

StG

Current is 03 Accord Sedan V-6 with about 120,000. And I’ve driven it at up to 120 mph, but now the tires are only rated 106. Still goes 100 easily in the Nevada desert.

Previous was 89 Accord Coupe 4 banger with 189,000. Sold it because the AC wouldn’t fix.

**The Second Stone **I am definitely behind you on that choice. I will not drive a car without AC.

My last car was an 89 Honda CRX. I got rid of it when they said that fixing the AC would cost me more than the CRX was worth. (It was a great car though.) I put close to 155K on that.

It was a great car except for the lousy AC, which wasn’t needed in San Francisco, where I first bought the car. But later across the bay it certainly was required.

Brand new Saturn ION purchased in '07. Just turned 34k miles last week.

I dunno, something like 17k. I generally drive cars from 0 to 20k or so and then it’s time for a new one.

Camry, '07, purchased Feb. 07, 7,700 miles.

Yes, I’ve driven it ~2k miles per year.

With any luck I’ll need a new timing belt sometime in 2030.

2008 VW Jetta, 35000 miles. Bought in 2/09 with 29000 miles. I hate to drive. A lot of those miles are a trip to San Diego and a trip to Flagstaff.

308775km (+/- 2km…I just noticed it hit the …70 mark on the way home today), so about 191863 miles according to Google. 1996 Tercel.

Brand new in March 2003. ~115,000 miles

I can’t believe how little some of you drive. I am really quite envious.

In the summer, when my kid is gone a lot, I can manage to cut my driving down to once or twice a week. Of course, that means I don’t go anywhere.

A '95 Camry, about 250k on it right now. My sweetie got a new car, I kind of inherited the Camry, and when it started having engine problems this year he wanted to get a new car.
I voted to put the money into it; it’s an ugly thing, but runs and runs and runs and runs.
I tend towards old beaters anyway, but this one, dang. It’s a real desert rat, and I am sure it will kick to 350 at least without any problems.

1997 Nissan Sentra, 64,000 miles, bought new. We are both public transit commuters, so most of that is errand-running and the occasional road trip. The only reason it even has that much mileage is that for a couple of those years, I drove to work because I didn’t have the use of one leg, which makes public transportation…somewhat challenging.

The darn thing will probably rust out before the engine dies.

Current:
'01 Continental: 130,000 miles
'04 Expedition: 84,000 miles
'10 Expedition: 24,000 miles (disclaimer: company loaner, but every one of those miles is mine!)
'72 Grandville: unknown miles

1999 Protege. 112,000 miles.

1.5 miles to work.

2008 Citroen C3, 6,100 miles, 3,100 of them since I’ve been driving it, ie. the last 12 mths.

2002 PT Cruiser. Still less than 30K.

Hell, I put 125 miles on my little truck the other day just going to the bank, grocery store, and (animal) feed store.

I don’t work so, with any luck, my truck will sit until Wednesday, which is when my son has an eye appointment…but that will be about 120 miles round trip. I’ll try to incorporate whatever other stops I need to make between here and there, though, so I may not have to go anywhere else for awhile. Except for Home Depot one day to pick up building materials for my new back porch - that’s about 60 miles round trip.

No public transportation here. Even if there were, I doubt they’d let me carry 2X4’s on board!

2000 Frod focus wagon. Just hit 62k miles. I commute 2.5 miles per day.

1997 Dodge Caravan. 64k original miles on it but has a rebuilt engine. Inherited it from a sib that used to do flea marketing but got sick for the last 4 years so it got little use. Drove it 800 mile south last October and haven’t put any miles on it since then. Needs some brake or bearing work and haven’t needed its capacity yet for any housemoves, but maybe soon on that.
