Be my guest. I’d correct the spelling mistake first.
Dique?
Brian?
Snucked?
I’d like to offer a little bit of history here. Not so far back as Abraham or the Crusades, just to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. This gave the moderate nations in the region an opportunity to get rid of their radicals, empty their prisons and silence their opposition. Someone wants to fight for Allah, send them to Afghanistan. This was certainly convenient for the Reagan administration, send the Mujahadin all the weapons they need and we save American boots on the ground.
Well, our side won. I do mean “our side”, El Cader and Osama Bi Laden were our people at that time, Reagan’s best buddies. Armed to the teeth, fully radicalized and no small number of them completely disenfranchised by their native country. They were not allowed to return home. So they stayed in Afghanistan, being radicalized and festering in the injustice heaped upon them by their native countries.
Meanwhile, the United States was way too busy celebrating the collapse of the Soviet Union to pay any mind a’tall …
After the World Trade Center was successfully destroyed we finally did something about this situation and really it just boiled down to driving this Radicalism out of Afghanistan, then out of Iraq and now currently driving them out of Syria. All this without any idea or clue where we’re driving them to, except further extremism. These folks have no native land, they have no home; if they return to where they’re from, they will be promptly executed; if they surrender it’s off to Gitmo with them. The only other option is to fight, and fight to the death … it’s easy if you have absolutely nothing to lose.

I make no claim here to be all encompassing, and I fully admit to the wearing of blinders. I’m only trying to focus on this one aspect of the situation, a rather large group of angry nasty people who are “unwelcome” to return to where they came from. Whatever solution to this big problem will have to include this part. As a pure-blooded American, I have no concept of this disenfranchising. Inconceivable I should ever be kicked out of my own country, never will I be silenced from speaking my beliefs, I will never have to surrender Brenda to the police. I just can’t imagine what it must feel like to be country-less. Worster, to be country-less simply because of my beliefs.
These countries, and their brutal dictators, must be make to account for their actions … they should not be allowed to dump their problems on their neighbors.
One simple solution is to give all these radical extremists fucking Green Cards … full time work flippin’ burgers in Kansas City … see how well they fare in a truly violent society where everybody’s got guns. I think most of them will be quite content earning a month’s pay each hour at McDonald’s. Those that won’t be satisfied and continue their extremism will pretty much fit right in. Come to Oregon, we’ve got a job for you stopping Wyoming coal from being shipped to China …
Missed 5 minutes window:

Your post is as repugnant to grammar as it is to sense. (The phrase is Gibbon’s, thank you for giving me the opportunity to use it.)
I do, but most of the Muslims where I live look just like the Christians. Some have “that curl”, some look blonder, mostly as a function of where they or their parents immigrated from, but this applies to both Muslims and Christians. And some look a lot like Pepe Spaniard, but these tend to have Yusuf as a firstname, replacing José.
I don’t feel the need to publicly distance myself from ideas I don’t hold, personally. Much less protest what folks I don’t know from Adam do halfway around the world. Do you ? Ever organize an “I’m not a neo-nazi !” march ? Or hold an “Ugandan Christians are kinda shitty about it” rally ?
I mean, if you don’t, by your own standard I should perforce assume you implicitly support neo-nazism and jailing homosexuals.
Eh?
Well, it’s a hole, isn’t it? Some guy has tried it.
Did you see today’s (7/17/16) Doonesbury? The artist thoughtfully provides a “I Am Not a Racist” wristband for attendees of the Republican Convention to wear, to hold up for high visibility, every time Trump says something racist.
And, alas, yes, every so often I do feel the need to make the “I’m not like these guys” statement, when someone in a population cohort that I share says something really fuck-headed.
That’s kind of silly. you didn’t say it, that’s enough. Anybody wants to hold it against you anyway, it’s on them, not you.
When I finally looked where I was posting I saw I wasn’t in Great Debates … and we all know how nasty “some” people get if we use the wrong kind of language around here … sheesh … so I threw that in on the fly just so I don’t get modded …
Oops, all I meant was the dumb obvious joke: “Sorry, I couldn’t hear you, I had jizzem in my ear.”
Next time, leave the banana in there.
Oh man… all these years and no one’s realized that the Qu’ran is just Judeo-Christian fanfic? Talk about awkward…
Catholic here, and yes it is the same God. Same God for the Jews, Muslims and us.
All religious texts are just fanfic, bro
Well, being a mercenary actually is against a number of laws.
If he really believed he’d do it pro bono.
Wouldn’t it be pro nefario, in this case ?
