Actually, I too would like to apologize for the hijack.
I meant to say, by way of getting back on topic, that I’ve never worn makeup. Never have, hopefully never will.
And now back to the hijack:
Daniel, I assume that “Sol.” above is “Solomon’s song”. I confess I’m no Bible Scholar.
Oh, and next time, don’t just give the cite–quote the whole thing. Some of us aren’t going to have a Bible handy!
Daniel, to you I say:
“Thou hast the most unsavoury similes
and art indeed the most comparative,
rascalliest, sweet young prince…I prithee,
trouble me no more with vanity.
I would to God thou and I knew where a
commodity of good names were to be
bought.”
–Henry IV, Part 1, Act 1, scene ii
As for me:
“Company, villanous company, hath been the spoil of me.”
–Henry IV, Part 1, Act 3, scene iii
We really ought to start our own thread (Shakespeare debates the Bible?):
“It would be argument for a week, laughter for a month
and a good jest for ever.”
–Henry IV, Part 1, Act 2, scene ii
and stop hijacking this thread, though this has certainly been:
“A kind of excellent dumb discourse.”
–The Tempest, Act 3, scene iii
