How many people do you know with a DUI?

I just realized that I know three people with DUI convictions. Two close friends and a brother. That seemed high. I wondered if that is the case.

2

A close friend of mine and a cousin (lives downstate and has several - may have served time).

I’m trying to think of someone but I come up with zero. Unless you count work. Then it is dozens. Since I am the one that arrested them for it you might not want to count that.

ETA: Damn, I forgot my brother in law. But he tried to keep it quiet and I didn’t hear about it until much later. No accident involved and he seemed to have learned from it.

My idiot BIL has a couple. He’s the only one I know.

My cousin got one.

I had a coworker whose son had gotten one…but I didn’t know him, so I don’t think that counts.

One, a friend who’s fighting alcohol/drug addiction.

7, just off the top of my head. One is my dad, the rest are people who are no longer in my life. I used to run around with some wild and crazies.

I’m sure there are plenty more (co-workers and such) that aren’t coming to mind right now.

A whole bunch now that I think of it:

-two first cousins
-four friends of mine (not four guys I hang around with presently, but throughout my life I’ve had four friends convicted of DUIs)
-there was also a few guys/girls from my high school who got busted. I didn’t particularly like any of them.

None.

Several, unfortunately.

I can think of four right now. I was the passenger for one of them.

How many people have done it - I dunno 10 maybe 20 on a pretty regular basis, how many people got caught - 3. I don’t know why, but college students don’t seem to think that those pesky DUI laws apply to them. I am glad I managed to graduate alive and with all of my limbs still attached.

None for sure, one I’d imagine has one

a couple-three

Lots. Most of my friends and a good bit of my family have all had at least one DUI, some of the people I know have had three, one guy has had four I think. One of them quit drinking after the third and has been sober for a very long time, and one of them hasn’t had a drivers license in almost a decade.

One, my sis, who has two.

Thousands. In AA, CA, NA, etc., had a couple myself. Oh, sober for 17 + years now, not to worry.
Plus a few relatives, co-workers- etc. I’ve been around for 65+ years so I have come across a few … Bawahahahaha

Does not freak me out or trip my “ewww” meter… (Pisses me off sometimes) Wish no one would ever do it again but I want world peace too…

One - my father had three of them in close sucession before (sucessfully) getting treatment for his alcholism.

2 friends, my father, my mother and as of last year, my youngest brother.

It was a good thing that he lives 500 miles away, because I was ready to do him serious harm.

One person, but he has yet to go to court over it, AFAIK. So technically none, but I have a feeling this one will stick. He’s 18 years old and a lot less stupid now.
