I am proud to be an american but I am ashamed of our current administration.
Illicitly? Baywatch was broadcast quite legally in Saudi Arabia and most of the Middle East via the Star TV satellite network, last I checked.
Why, exactly, does this make you unhappy, anyway? I can see you being unhappy if you’re an anti-American Saudi, say, but if you’re American, or even a Westerner, this should be proof that our way is more popular.
The OP sets the tone for the thread. If you want facts rather than opinions, it helps to keep your personal opinions out of the OP. There is a factual question here, so I won’t move the thread, but let’s all save the opionions for the IMHO forum.

I think what she/he was trying to say about Baywatch, is that most of Saudi Arabia have never been here to experience America. They get their perception of us by the TV shows we make. So, perhaps they believe that we are all beautiful, vain, yet airheaded folks running around scantily clothed. I work with people who have come from other countries and my gosh are they disappointed when they see that what they’ve been seeing on their telly isn’t reality.
I am fortunate to live here where women are not mutilated or beaten. I am free to speak my mind on any and every issue without fear of government intervention (I think-lately, uncle sugar has been watching us more closely). I’m not always proud of the choices our elected official make (GWB), but I am fortunate, very fortunate rather than proud to live in America.
