39 right now, and I did have to delete a few. It’s not that I’m super popular, there a recent Dopefest in Boston which required a good amount of PMing.

None really, I’m a might bit unsociable.

Allow me to contradict myself, I’ve been to one, and I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

No, I’m bad with follow-through. I’d end up with a shot glass or a t-shirt and someone else would end up without one.
I have only three private messages. I’ve also had around a dozen of so emails from SDMB people over the last couple of years.
I’ve only had one person from this board (who no longer posts here) with whom I had any regular communication outside of the board.
I’ve been to about twenty or so over the years. Mostly in Houston and NYC but also Toronto, Rochester, Burlington, and New Jersey. There was also the Philadelphia meeting where I showed up late and missed everybody else and the Albany meeting where everybody else cancelled at the last minute and I was the only person who showed up.
I sent a postcard to Bulgaria and some books to Alabama. I got a couple of books and a CD (and sent out a couple of books) in one exchange. But I’ve also been in a couple of exchanges where I sent stuff out and never received anything.

I have…16. Never deleted any. If I’m having any sort of real discussion with someone, my second PM asks for a real e-mail or IM address.

There are five or six Dopers on my MySpace, and I have two or three phone numbers. I’ve never met another Doper IRL. I’m tempted to go take some karate lessons from Clothahump, just to prove that you guys really exist.

I’ve never gone to a DopeFest. There hasn’t been one in Houston since I’ve been on the SDMB, shamefully.

I’ve never received one. Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, gonna eat worms, etc.

I have e-mailed with a moderator when I was having some technical problems, and had brief e-mail exchanges with at least two other Dopers. I was MySpace friends with one other Doper until my old account got hacked and deleted, and I just remembered I need to go find and re-add him to my new account!

I went to one a few years ago. They were never at a convenient time – always right around Thanksgiving, which coincides with my birthday. In fact, I went straight from my birthday dinner with my family to Dopefest.

Right now I have 8. I usually delete them as soon as I’ve responded. Full mailboxes are bad, so I’ve never been close to full (plus, not that many people want to talk to me)

Maybe 2, using my personal definition of “regularly” (more than twice a year).

(1) Zero at the moment, although I think I have received enough to fill the box. I don’t keep them for very long since I take conversations to e-mail or IM if they go on for very long.
(2)I have several Dopers on my livejournal friends list, several on my IM buddy lists, have spoken by phone to five, and have met two. I also have vague plans to meet others when the opportunity arises…something was mentioned about beer a few weeks ago. I also regularly communicate by e-mail with two Dopers.
(3)No Dopefests yet. This isn’t a good place for them. I might go to a Houston one if I were able to when it occurred.
(4)I got a book in the last book swap. I wouldn’t mind doing one again. I have several books others might enjoy more than I.

I am back up to 44, I clear it regularly, including downloading them a few times and Email the Download to myself.

IRL, I communicate with only one doper regularly. Email & Phone. I have visited only one doper in a none Dope related circumstance, football related.
By Email I have had short conversations with many other dopers, including clearing up some confusion between myself and another doper that resolved some open hostilities. I have read and reviewed a few short stories and one novel for other Dopers, I enjoyed helping out this way.

I have been to 5 DopeFests/Dope Outings, I hosted 3 of them. Additionally I met up with **Mr Bus Guy ** and his lovely wife when I was in Chicago for classes. I just missed meeting eleanorigby. Hope to meet more of you, I just missed the NYC dopefest.

I have 12. I’m sure I’ve deleted a couple.

I talk to several Dopers in real life, by phone and in person. Email as well. One of couples I met via the Dope has sat for our kids several times. Great folks. Have had dinner or met up with others as well.

Hmm, several. A couple in Chicago, a couple in Cincinnati, a couple in Columbus and even Dayton, some in the Tampa Bay area and nearby environs, including Orlando. I also create a dopefest concept called “Dope-to-your-door” where we drove between Cincinnati, Lexington, Louisville and Indianapolis to meet those who couldn’t/wouldn’t come to us. Good times, good times.
I’m going to start to travel a lot for my new job, so hopefully I’ll get a chance to meet a few more people. Might be in western Michigan next week and the Bay Area soon after.

Yes, a Xmas exchange, but only once. I was disappointed that my Secret Santa designee apparently never got her gift. I’m not much for receiving gifts anyway, don’t get many in real life, so I always feel a bit awkward… “A turnip-twaddlers? For me? You shouldn’t have.”
If turnip-twaddlers are in the running, I’m definitely participating in a swap! I have a three handled moss covered family credunza I’ve been DYING to gift.

Email only 7; Face time 3; phone only 1. Three of the email only are because of scheduling conflicts, and regularly is, by my definition, more than one or two non-SDMB based “conversations” in a year.
