Will my hours still add up correctly if i log in with the same email address on two computers at the same time? Also i just switched to the text-only version, how do i see my statistics?

Whenever I click on the link to try and join, I get Web Page Missing. Is this temporary, or is there a new link to use?

Absolutely. I’m running SETI on 6 computers - 5 on ethernet and running 24 hours and 1 laptop that runs sporadically. All are on the same email.

I’m a member of alt.fan.cecil-adams and we have 42 members with 11,000+ completed units. (“I joined this group long before I came to these boards,” brachy says, climbing into her asbestos underware.)

The Straight Dopers have 43 members with 2000+ completed units. Now clearly there is a vast resource to be tapped with active boards members numbering into the hundreds. Perhaps some lurkers can even be persuaded to come on board by declaring their units to the Straight Dopers as I did for afca (granted there I did sprint back to lurkworld as fast as I could, but that was me). So, come on you dopers…give for science and Uncle Cecil!

Hey, I was thinking about starting a new thread on this to try and get some more people involved. We got a nice big jump in members when David B Threadspotted us. Since then only a couple of other people have joined.

Try Seti Spy or Seti Watch and Seti Log in tandem.

Actually, the Seti@home servers that post the team totals are always backlogged. Straight Dopers have 5279 real work units and afca members have 14212 real work units as of right now.

Anyway, we’ve had 2000 views of this thread and we now have 43 people, and not everyone who joined is actively cranking out units. If you’re thinking about it, give it a shot. What have you got to lose?

Also, version 3.0 of the software is coming soon. It’s already in Beta. They are adding quite a bit of additional science code so it will be a forced upgrade. (Free of course.)

I just noticed this in threadspotting, didn’t realize there was a SD team before. You got my 79 units.
