How many times did Darth get each limb chopped off? (No spoilers boxes, please.)

Oh, I don’t know canon (hell, I can’t even spell the names right) but I live in a house with 2 Star Wars nerds. The book and comic was Splinter of the Mind’s Eye.

That would be the book and comic in which Luke chops off Darth’s* arm.

*OK, I’ll stop with this annoying smartassiedness right . . . . NOW!

Movies almost always trump the books, when there’s a contradiction. But everything is considered canon, unless it is labelled Infinities. The Infinity comics are sort of an alternative universe. I think Luke gets killed, and Leia has to be the one to save the galaxy in those. Or something.

Or something? Or something? You mean you haven’t read the series? What kind of Star Warrior are you?

A broke one. That and Infinities aren’t canon, so I don’t worry about them.

I bought one of the Star Wars nerds I live with (my husband) the Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game-- the one based on the first three movies. The first time me, my husband and my son (the other Star Wars nerd) played the game, I astonished every one, including myself, by beating them handily.

Seems if you watch the same 3 movies a thousand times-- even though you really don’t want to, it’s just that it’s on TV and if it’s on TV then the nerds have to watch it-- you get to know things by osmosis.
Don’t get me wrong, I actually love the first 3 movies. They were GREAT movies. But, unlike the men in my house, I actually put the lightsaber away sometimes.

You should be ashamed. A true Star Warrior would get the money somehow, even if it meant selling death sticks, smuggling spice, or high stakes card games with Billy Dee Williams. Ashamed I say!

Those were actually pretty decent. I think I remember the three possibilities.

  1. Luke fires his torps into the Death Star’s exhaust port…but they’re duds.

  2. Luke freezes to death in the cold Hoth night

  3. Han Solo is killed (accidentally) by Leia while they’re all trying to rescue Han on Cloud City. I can’t quite remember how that one ended up.
