Once a month, maybe. Not sure how that translates into a vote.
Virtually never; in fact, I can’t remember the last time I woke up to pee, only that I was a kid the last time I did so, maybe at least 10 years ago. I don’t feel a particularly strong urge when I wake up in the morning either, but I generally don’t drink anything after dinner, unless I feel thirsty and pee before going to bed.
I can’t imagine having to get up every 1-2 hours either; if I went that often, I would want to get checked for diabetes or something; do you guys/gals have to go just as frequently during the day as well (I only go 3-4 times a day, not like I restrict what I drink either, just not a lot before bed)?
I used to wake up 2-4 times a night to pee, but now that I have my BPH under control and have limited my evening fluid intake, I’m down to 0. Unless I’ve had a couple glasses of wine before bed.
I wake up during the night, but as long as I don’t stay up more than five minutes, I will be incapable of realizing I need to pee, unless it’s really really bad.
Female, and it depends on whether I was drinking much at night. Last night, I had a glass of lemonade in the evening, and my bladder woke me around 4:30. The night before, no problems. Some nights, 3 or 4 times. Averaged over a year, I’d say less than 1 time. I think.
That’s a pretty curve.
female, age 59. Once a night (occasionally twice if I’ve had a lot of caffeine) ever since a few years ago when my doctor diagnosed me with diabetes. Before that, I could usually hold it all night.
Male, 36. It’s maybe a couple times a year.
I’ve got a 3 year old, a 1 year old, and a 3 month old.
I’m up 2-3 times a night every night to tend to the 3 month old or any combination of he and the older two.
I usually pee before getting back in bed - but it’s not why I got up.
How’s that for a data point?
Like the rest of my health problems, my bladder sensitivity comes and goes in cycles. So there are times when I can sleep through the night, and times when I even have trouble doing stuff in the day because I constantly have to pee.
At the moment I seem to be in a “once a night” period.
I voted zero since the average is closer to that than to one. Ever had that “need to pee” dream? I’ve had maybe 5 of those dreams over the years (I’m 41), and always thought they were remarkable, me dreaming about needing to pee and coming across all kinds of weird obstacles to accomplishing the task, and finally waking up to the extreme urge that I had been dreaming about. I figure I’ll be in trouble if I ever dream about accomplishing the goal before waking up!
I bet I don’t get up in the night even once a year. Even if I drink a coke right before bed, I don’t get up. And I sleep for about 8 1/2 hours per night.
But I do sleep on a waterbed.

One now, but it used to me a lot more often. I used to retain water all day, especially if the weather was hot and muggy. Then, at night, my kidneys would kick in. Giving up diet soda appears to have resolved that issue for me. And I’m very happy about it.
Mine’s mental…I’ll think about it if I wake up and then go…but it’s because I think about it…usually once…sumtimes twice
Average once, with roughly even numbers of twos and zeroes. Of course, if I do wake to pee, it’s inevitably just close enough to my scheduled wake-up time to deny me those last few sweet minutes of sleep.
