I’ve heard of him, though I’m not sure that I’d recognize any of his music. When David A. sang ‘Angels’ on American Idol I looked up the song (I hated it that much :D), and then had to check Wikipedia to remember if he were British or Canadian.

I’ve got all of his CDs and really like him. I was introduced to his music when he released “The Ego has Landed” and he played “Strong”. I dug that song, picked up that CD and tracked down the two original UK CDs as well. I’ve bought the CDs and sheet music for the albums since (although Escapology was pretty sucky, IMO).
My SO claimed that he never heard of him until I played Rock DJ and he recognized it immediately.

Same here. I’ve have all his albums, even the several crappy ones. Wish he’d get better again. I’ve listened to "the “Sing When Your WInning” album a gazillion times.
I know him well enough to be able to name at least a half dozen songs (a former roommate worked with the team that did the skin-peeling effects on Rock DJ). Then again, I spent a good portion of the late 90s and early 00s across the pond. Not necessarily my type of music, but he’s an energetic and solid performer. I certainly respect his work. Life Through a Lens is definitely worth having.
