How many US Presidents have there been in your lifetime?

Eleven for me, although I only remember from JFK on. Mostly what I remember about him is that my sister was quite enamored with the glamour and romance of the Jack and Jackie thing. And then his funeral, which lasted for days on TV.

Thirteen for me. I only remember 12 of them, as I was too young to remember Roosevelt.

Amending myself to add that I have no memory of Truman. I was barely two when he left office.

Seven. I missed being born under Nixon by 2.5 weeks. I have a few memories of Ford as President, but nothing of Carter.

Doesn’t make me feel too old – my mom lived through 12, some coworkers 13 – until I start looking at how few Presidents some of my exes, friends, younger coworkers, etc. have lived through. A young coworker who’s got a crush on me was born during Clinton’s first term. I voted for Clinton’s first term. Ugh.

13 for me, being born in the middle of FDR’s third term. I doubt we will have anyone claiming they lived through fourteen presidencies, as that would entail memories of Herbert Hoover, and he was succeeded by FDR in 1932. Any octogenarians here?

I just remembered that Hoover was still alive when I was a senior in high school.
Coolidge died in 1932 and Harding in 1923. I think Hoover and Truman were the only living ex-presidents at the time (1960).

Same here. Ford must have been a real quiet President.

Five, barely. I don’t remember Reagan at all and I don’t think I remember Bush I.

13,
I remember singing when I was very little:" Roosevelt’s in the White House waiting for election, Hoover’s in the garbage can waiting for collection"

conceived under Truman, born under Ike. I remember being very confused that our mortal enemies were the Russians and that most of my relatives were Russian.

10 for me, although we traveled around the world so I did not pay attention until we got to the US in Pres. Reagan’s 2nd term.

Eight. I missed LBJ by 4 days. One of my earliest childhood memories is watching Nixon on TV, waving from the door of an airplane, and my mother explaining that he decided not to be President anymore.

Yeah, but he took an occasional trip now and again.

Another Eisenhower 11 generation here. I don’t remember Ike as president, but I do remember my dad holding me up so I could see JFK at a campaign stop in Michigan in 1960. I remember his hair as being a bit reddish and him being somewhat tanned. To this date he’s still the only president whom I have seen in person. Was in second grade when JFK was shot, still can hear the teacher’s voice as she told us what happened.

As far as voting goes, I’ve voted since 1976 and am currently batting .500 (5 wins, 5 losses) for presidents.

  1. I’m an Eisenhower baby.

I could’ve written this myself! I have some vague memories of the Carter years, mainly the Iran hostage crisis, but I don’t remember knowing who Carter was.

Eleven. I don’t really remember Ike except for a faded framed print of a Norman Rockwell portrait on the wall at my grandmother’s house.

We’re very close in age. One of my earliest memories is watching the same event. I remember my mother somberly telling me that Nixon was a “bad man”.

Since LBJ for me, so nine. Hope to see MANY more (and not just because I’m a political junkie).

Eleven for me, starting with Eisenhower.

My grandmother now, who just died less than a year ago, went through all the names in the OP plus one more, Teddy Roosevelt. She was born in 1904, and died in 2012. Voted in 22 straight presidential elections, starting in 1928. It would be a record hard to equal. I mean, she voted less than month before she died, at the age of 107 years and eleven months.

Oops, also Woodrow Wilson and Howard Taft.

Nvm-Forgot I already posted in this thread
