Price varies according to the “success” of the War on Drugs.
War only raises price (and subsequent robberies) not lower availablity.
5-HT is pretty close to the going weed rates around here. A wee bit higher here, but again price is driven by quality, quantity and who ya know. A QP equals 4 oz., which means you’d probably pay 4X the going rate for an ounce with maybe a discount for buying in bulk, so to speak. Pretending that an ounce goes for $120, then a QP would probably go for about $450-500… not that I would know about this first hand or anything. ahem
When you hear about drug busts on the news, try to catch how many pounds they’ve grabbed. Multiply the number of pounds by 16 (ounces in a pound), then mutiply that number by about $100 -$120. That’s roughly your street value. IMHO, whatever they say on the news is a highly inflated street value and is probably baseless.

Hash: It is resin scraped or rubbed from the dried plant and then pressed into brown/black blocks.
weed in general: Herbal cannabis is made from the chopped, dried leaves of the plant. (Though that’s a good way to find yourself with oregano cutting the mix, or something much worse ie speed, meth etc. I have heard of it happening to people. Not a usual thing, but done sometimes by people who sell the harder stuff as a way of getting people hooked.)
and Cannibas Oil: It is made by percolating a solvent through the resin.
I actually have hemp seeds somewhere in my cupboards. Care of a former roomie. I don’t know what to do with them though as they aren’t viable. Even if I wanted to grow weed though (which I don’t) I doubt I could keep it alive as I have killed cacti.
Back in my wild days, cocaine was usually $50 for half a gram. An 8-ball, which is 1/8 ounce, went for I think about $250? Can’t remember. I have no idea if these prices are still valid, thank GOD!
Prices vary wildly with time and location. I have seen marijuana rise in price 50% in the last fifteen years or so in Texas, where it is cheaper than most other places in the USA. Price also varies greatly depending on how much you are buying at once - i.e. an ounce of marijuana has a street value of around $80 around here, but if you buy it by the quarter ounce it’s usually around $30. If you can find someone who sells it by the joint (which is getting rarer these days) the going price is usually $2 a joint, but they are smaller than what most people would roll for themselves, the dealers probably rollabout 100 or 120 per ounce.
Cocaine is the same way. Last I heard it was around $120-$200 for an 1/8 of an ounce. If you bought it $20 worth at a time (which is enough for two people to get high for an hour or so) that 1/8 of an ounce would cost you at least $280. Someone can buy a $20 bag of cocaine (app. 1/4 a gram) and make 4 $10 crack rocks from it, each of which would get a crackhead high for about 10 minutes.
When I was smoking heavily, I went through about two ounces a month. Sometimes I bought it by the 1/4 ounce, sometimes by the 1/4 lb., so the price I paid varied considerably but I’d figure I was probably spending about $200 a month on it, which adds up to what your figures say…but I was smoking at least three fat joints a day, usually more. Of course, I lived in Texas, land of cheap grass.
phason, what they say in the paper as the street value of the drugs they got is usually baloney, they raise the amounts of money to make it seem like they did a great job.
They probably figure it like this, you harvest $500 of baloney.
You sell that to someone (make a $500 profit) for $1000
That person splits it in two, sells each part for $1000.
Next person makes it four, sells each part for $1000.
Next person makes it in eighths, on the street, sells each part for $1000.
Result? 1000+2000+4000+8000 About $15,000 street value for some $500 baloney. See how it’s baloney?

a dime bag is not always a gram… and sometimes “dime bags” can set you back $25…
typical dirt weed, or shwag… the kind that will make you high by give you a headache is about $80 per oz. and is sold to the crowd who doesn’t know any better for $300
but it starts to get better and better, to Kind Bud, Hydro, or Denk…
all are probably no less than $350 per oz… and up to $500 if it is really good…
if you see red hairs, or what look like crystals… and a really light color… it will cost you…

Most of these prices are a little bit low but again, so much of it depends on where you live and who you know. I have lived in a number of cities and suburbs in the north-east and an average cost would be just about double what is listed above.
also, when you see the loaf of cocaine on TV or the trunk full of pot, the value that they label it with is always the “street value” which is how much it would bring if it was sold in the smallest possible quantity. b/c so much of the price depends on how much of a substance you buy. the price of a pound is less than buying 10 ounces or far less than buying 128 1/8ths.
furthermore, no person who has a trunkload of pot is selling it off in eighths. this would take a long time and an unwanted amount of risk. most people who have that much sell it off in pounds or even just cut it one or two times and sell it immediately. no dealer in the world wants to hang on to 50 lbs. of anything for very long, too risky.

I do NOT use drugs. In my area (KY) commercial grade weed is about 50-60 dollars per quarter oz. Homegrown is another matter. It can range from 100 to 125 per quarter oz. In poor parts of the state it is a highly valued cash crop with booby-trapped fields and all. OC’s on the other hand are a dollar per milligram. Lortab 10’s are 8-10 dollars. I repeat, I do NOT do drugs, this information was in the local paper recently which chronicled the drug epidemic in the area. I do remember way back in the sixties when a lid (ounce) of weed sold for 15 dollars.

Note that (especially for marijuana) the region/season plays a part in the prices due to availibility/growing season (if it is outdoors, like rural areas).

it depends on where you live because of things like amount of traffic into the area, local wages, and whatnot. In southern florida, where alot of cocaine is shipped in, supposedly an 8 ball (1/8 of an ounce) of 60% pure cocaine is about $80. In a northern state like washington the price is probably much higher.
A gram of Marijuana: $10

An 8 ball of Cocaine: $80
A KG of Heroin: $100 000
A few hours of clarity: priceless
(incidentally, I don’t know how much an 8 ball or X is, I just think this would be a funny commercial)
In no way am I telling people how to get illegal things. I’m only quoting prices from where I live.
I pay $60 an 1/8th. This is not your run of the mill marijuana. This is for “bomb” or Hydro. The kind of weed that everyone knows you have because it freaking reeks.
As for regular weed, well my friend said he bought an 1/8th for 15 bucks the other day. No one around this area seems to want it, so the prices have dropped.
as for coke…well…a friend gets it for 80-100 bucks an 8-ball.
