Here BobT says that it’s $8 for a matinee show.
For me it’s $6 or $6.50. At the Cinemarks, the first showing on a weekday only costs $4.75.

$7.50 here at the AMC, or $6.50 if I buy a restricted ticket at work (college) or $7.00 for unrestricted tix.
6 bucks in the nearest (but kinda small theatre) and 7 bucks at the big one in town.
Nine bucks in the big theater. Yes. Nine for a matinee. Ten fifty normal.
Luckily, the local second-run is 4, 3.50 if you go to the first weekday show.
At my local (45 miles away) AMC megaplex (30 screens) $6.50 anytime for seniors and college students and matinees for everyone. $8 or 8.50 for reglar night tickets. It’s gone up with in the last month or so. Another theater offers $4 Bargain matinees.
The local local theater (2 miles) didn’t have student prices (or surround sound!) for a long time, so we avoided it on principle. I think they have $6.00 student tickets and $7.50 adult.
It’ll blow you away.
$2 for showings before 6.
No, wait. They just raised the price.
$2.50 for showings before 6.
The Regal Chain charges 7 bucks, but if you their cinema club you get points when you buy a ticket. After a certain number of points you get a free ticket, plus tuesday is a free small popcorn day that can be upgraded for a dollar
$3.50 for a matinée, $5 normal price.
10.95CAD, no matter what showing you go to. So just under 10USD.
If I go to the next closest theatre a ticket costs 8.95 and if I knew how to get to the cheapo places (which are all quite far away from me) I’d just wait till movies ended up there and go.
$5.25 for my local 22 screen, stadium seating Cinemark. All day on tuesday is also $5.25.
$8.oo matinees at the local multiplex, $6.00 at the smaller theater by home.
Rediculous!
:: jaw drops :: I’d love to get into a matinee for $2.50.
I pay $6.50 for a matinee or $8.50 for a nighttime showing.
I think ours is $6.50. We almost never go to the full-price showings. It’s never worth it.
$10.75. Prices are the same no matter what time you go.
