How much are movie tickets your way now?

I know, there have been other threads, but prices keep going up…

Of the two theaters I go to (one in Newington NH and the other in Methuen MA - neither are really near my house, but they’re compromises between friends and I) both charge $6 for adult Matinee tickets. The NH one charges $8.50 for night viewings and the MA one $9 for the same.

So where do you go, and what do they charge? If you’d prefer you can just list the state.

Evening showings have gone up to $8 a pop here in Greensboro, NC. I guess it shows how seldom we go to the movies that every time we see a movie the price goes up.

$7-8 bucks for an evening show in Atlanta.

In coventry i pay about £5.50, i think. At least they’re not as expensive as train tickets (to somewhere 20 minutes away) which really do go up every time i use one.

$10.50 here in Orange County, CA

ouch, cadolphin!

Only $7.50 here in Northern Indiana and $5.50 for a matinee.

About US$6.45 down here. ~US$6.00 for Tuesdays and ~US$7.00 for the premium theaters.

Here in Switzerland it costs around 18 Swiss Francs, which comes to approx 14 USD. As a native English speaker I prefer to see English films in English. Our theatres show the original language with both German and French subtitles so it costs a bit more to put on a movie here. We have assigned seating(!) and a break at some arbitrary point during the movie where everyone goes just outside the door to the theatre (still inside the building) and smokes up a storm.

Southern New England; our town has two first-run theatres.

One charges $9.00 for evening shows, $6.00 matinees. The other charges $8.00 for evening shows, with $4.00 matinees. The more expensive theatre has more comfortable seats and larger screens.

In Kagoshima City, movie tickets cost between US $16 – $17. Wednesday is Ladies Night, women get in for about $9.29. On the first of the month, all tickets are $9.29.

Small town ontario:
Matinees: $4.25
Regular: $6.00

Saskatoon, SK, Canada:

Evening tickets generally run around $10.00 CDN, matinees and “movie nights” (Tuesday) are $6.50-$7.50 CDN, depening on the theater.

Sadly, I remember when the Tuesday night price was the norm.

Sydney, Australia

$14.50, which is about US$10.80

Central California, $8.25 evenings, $6.50 matinee. Discount theater $2.50 for any showing.

SGD6.50-8.50 that’s about what, USD4.00-5.00?

a train ticket for a 20 minutes ride would be less than SGD1.00
a McDonald’s bigmac meal’s about SGD6.00 here.

Here in my town in ontario going to see a movie at night will cost 11.50 (canadian currency obviously). There’s supposed to be some other theatres opening up though, where the price won’t exceed 4 bucks. God I hope it happens.

$8.25 for an evening’s showing.

They are 9-12 bucks depending on the theater you go to. There is only one theater in the area (DC) that I know of that is actually 12 bucks though and 9 is more the norm.

got my Ugc card for 16 euros a month, with it i can see any film i want as much as i want at any showing and in any Ugc theater in France. They are everywhere in Paris and tend to be great with neat place and good seats,

Western PA, outside of Pittsburgh. I just saw Return of the King at 11:45 on Thursday for $4.75. I think it’s $6.00 at night. There are places, though, where you can pay a lot more. You know, nice places.
