Is this figure anywhere near correct and if so why??
I would imagine (a) sponsorship of the team and (b) advertising revenues for British broadcasters pretty much cover that. Not to mention bar bills for pubs and clubs, merchandising, post-Cup videos and books etc …
Plus all the revenues barbers will get from all the lads coming in for a GBP 100 Beckham haircut. And perhaps Spice Girls CD’s will sell again, too.
