How much M*A*S*H is too much?

Yeah, it’s almost like the show itself got battle fatigue and went into therapy.

I am **so sick **of that show…!

I actually watched it the other day to see if it was as nauseating as I remembered it.

It was.

The characters made me want to reach for a bucket.

Jesus Hawkeye, incredibly gifted surgeon, loveable rebel, funny, a chick magnet, admired by everyone including his superiors and enemies, brave, and caring…SO BLOODY caring.

His heart wept purple piss for the other ranks, the Koreans, the wounded soldiers and of course the children…

I’m surprised that he wasn’t crucified in the final episode.

Radar, the whiney little boy that we were supposed to feel sorry for, the priest, another saint but loveably down to earth, Klinger the one joke pony,

The villains, two dimensional, card board cut out characters, Burns and Hotlips.

And even they had to to grudgeingly admire Saint Hawkeye.

The best character was Winchester.

There was a fashion around that time that comedy and comedians were there to preach to you.

Didn’t work for me.

I was gonna’ jump on and say that!..Dammit, stole my line!

Many years ago, WGN-Chicago showed only the first 4 seasons of Andy Griffith in syndication, pretending the color episodes didn’t exist.

I think if TV-Land or Me-TV or someone showed only the first 3 seasons of MASH*, restarting the episodes each time after Radar announces “it spun in; there were no survivors,” they’d really have something.
