Or have you seen Biden say he wants to unite everyone in peaceful harmony?
Is there anything about Trump’s record to date that indicates he WON’T be in the headlines for the next several years if he isn’t incarcerated? If he isn’t brought up short, we’ll be hearing about him daily in his ‘rallies’ which will be paid attendance, book tours, Republican king-making, call ins to Fox and Friends or his new BFF network, or even Trump news. He will NEVER be gone, and especially if he isn’t prosecuted, he’ll be a considered a patron saint to those of his base, just like Reagan was to mainstream Republicans for years.
This. Plus he may well run again in 2024, and he had most of the GOP living in fear of his base. Expecting bipartisan action is a total joke considering that most of the GOP won’t even admit Trump lost yet.
Now Biden shouldn’t spend any time at all on this. All he needs to do is to have the DoJ and the prosecutors respect the law for a change. They could give the Donald a full agenda of court appearances to keep him busy for the next few years.

It won’t be up to Biden. All he has to do is let the investigative journalists and the lawyers go at Trump. He will most likely say some platitudes to avoid looking personally vindictive, but he has nothing to gain by covering up Trump’s mess. Indeed, a full exposure is likely to hurt the Republicans such that their chances of winning in 2024 will drop.

Do you have a cite for the actual coverup you claimed upthread? In a way, the AG is the President’s “wingman”. That doesn’t mean actually covering up illegal activities.
Barr tried to block a rape accusation which did not occur (the rape itself) while Trump was in office. Did Holder ever do something on that level?
Attorney General Holder pledging loyalty to Obama is not a cover up because they weren’t even attempting to cover it up. Holder was very open about his pledge of allegiance to Obama. But Holder was cited for contempt for his role in covering up allegations of illegal activity in weapons trafficking by the Obama admin.
