How much oil/energy is in oil production?

I’m just curious how much oil or energy is used (1) to get oil out of the ground, (2) ship it to its destination (3) refine it, etc. Basically, how much goes into getting oil to the place and state in which it can be used.

I don’t know figures for individual stages, and these would vary substantially anyway, but in general terms of efficiency, i.e. energy loss on energy unit input (using Argonne’s GREET model); gasoline (80.5%), diesel fuel (84.3%), LPG (89.8%), natural gas (94.0%), coal (98.0%), and electricity generation (39.6%). Corn Ethanol, according to the same study, had a 134% efficiency for every energy unit dedicated to producing ethanol, i.e. a 34% energy gain (Shapouri et al. 2002).
