On average, weekdays: 4 to 5 hours. About 8 hours a night on weekends.
7 hours on weekdays
8-9 on Sat & Sun.
If i don’t get 7 hours I’m quite miserable the whole day.
8 works for me.
I can survive on less for one night only. If I try to short myself for longer than that, I get sick, nauseous, cranky, and I can’t think straight. (Sometimes I think that most of the jerks in the world are probably just sleep-deprived.)
If I get much MORE than 8, though, I am sleepy and lethargic all day.
Chalk me up with Mr C and Mauve Dog sounds like.
Recipe:
Start work at 7AM
Live 1 hour from work
Add 3 month old baby Chanceling
=
4-5 hours of sleep per night.
On the up side Mrs Chance sleeps on the way in and I get a nap on the ride home!
 4am, I’m STILL awake! But I’m determined to get at least 5 hours…
it varies a lot, but i try to get 6-8 on most nights…and always, without fail, i have to get up and pee in the middle of the night.
I average 5-6, frequently interrupted since we have some bed-wetting issues going on right now. With my kids, I mean.
Mostly between 6-8 hours.
Sometimes more and sometimes less.
I think I average about 7, tho there are nights when I’m lucky to get 4. I may get a bit more on weekends, but I’m so accustomed to being up and about by 5:30, I RARELY make it past 7, no matter how late I stay up the night before. I thought we needed less sleep the older we get. How old is older??
I work half-time and go to school full-time, so my answer during the school year is around 6-7. During the summer, I usually manage 9, which is the amount I need to stay functional every day for long periods. If I get less than 4, I must have a nap the next day.
I don’t know what I’m going to do when I have kids. It sucks being out at the end of the bell curve sometimes.
I usually get 4-6 hours a night and function just fine, even on the lower end of the scale.
However, at least once every week or two, I need a “no alarm” day where I sleep until i wake up uninterrupted. On those days, sleeping for 14+ hours is not uncommon.

ATHENA HAD AN EROTIC DREAM ABOUT ME!
I average 7 hours of sleep a night. Keeps me bright eyed and bushy tailed!
I average about 7 to 8 hours a night. I go to bed around 2:30 to 3:00 am, and wake up at around 10:00 to 10:30 am–no alarm clock needed. My body gets the right amount of sleep it needs.
Anywhere from 2-5 normally, and most of the time interrupted at some point. On weekends when I’m alone I always say I’m going to sleep in and them am wide awake by 6 or earlier.
weeknights 4-5 hrs.
weekends about 6 hrs.
I miss the days when I could sleep in till noon.
During the school year-
With lots of HW: 6 hours
With little HW: 7 hours
Summer-
Average: 10 hours
with CC practice: 7 hours.
During the summer, I’ll get anywhere from 9 to 12 hours of sleep a night, assuming I don’t have to get up for anything (which I usually don’t). During the school year last year, I got anywhere from 3 to 7 hours a night, and on about 3 occasions none, depending what I had to do (last minute essays, etc.) During the weekends, I always try to sleep in if at all possible. I’ve also found that if I get 2 or 3 hours of sleep, I wake up more easily and am not as sleepy at first… but if I try it again the next day, I’m wasted.
About seven hours a day but it isn’t all at the same time. Quite often I will do 5 hours at nights and then a couple more in the afternoon.
I need ten hours of sleep just to feel rested. 12 hours is my ideal amount. However, my sleep schedule has been so fuckered lately that I won’t sleep some days, and sleep like a madman others. So i can’t say how many I actually get per night.
