How not to call home

Soldier accidentally calls home during firefight.

I must confess to being surprised that the phone worked out there.

Maybe he was fed up with his mother asking how his day was.

Can you hear me now?

Good.

Now get me some more GD ammo!

“Please don’t let grandma hear” all the swearing? That’s precious.

Our son was stationed in Fallujiah. He had a global phone and was able to call his (now ex)wife every day, sometimes several times a day.

(Yes, I know Iraq is not Afghanistan.)

Yeah, I’d like to see the network try to take care of that situation.

I didn’t know people had redial buttons on their cells…mine never have them.

Most phones will redial if you hit send twice.

My old cell phone would call the first person in my address book while it was in my pocket until I figured out how to disable the keypad.

My husband does that a lot. It’s irritating. Particularly when his phone left messages in my voice mail that went on endlessly. I usually called him back a little later and left a VM telling him, "Your dick called me again today. Please lock your phone or I will relay the next message through your ass.

Shouldn’t that be swearing *without *abandon?

n.

  1. Unbounded enthusiasm; exuberance.
  2. A complete surrender of inhibitions.

(ie. the story used it correctly)

Thank you. Ignorance fought. At least now I’ll use it correctly in the future. :smack: :o
