Someone who goes 3-4 times a day has never been full of shit (somebody had to say it, why not me?).
Someone who goes twice a week deposits a great monstrous python of a shit and immediately feels all their innards rearranging within the newly found space. That’s a very pleasant relief akin to sitting down after too long having to stand. Ahhh!
Depending on which sort of pooper you are, you’ll either often, or never, experience that relief.
My morning BM is when I first wake up. I’m expelling last night’s fare.
But by noon I had a glass of Metamucil and a banana with breakfast, and a sweat potato, apple, and V8 with lunch (I eat the same thing every day) - that’s a lot of fiber.
I typically purge myself of my natural excrements several times a day, I’d say about 4 is the average.
Honestly, I have a similar problem, and I haven’t been to the doctor to attempt to figure out why. I don’t know if I have some condition, but I suspect it may have something to do with: 1) irregular eating times; 2) bad nerves.
I have to poop many times a day. I’d say 10 on average. And I have basically all my adult life. I’ve talked to many doctors many times. They never have any idea what’s going on. In fact I just had another colonoscopy last week. Nothing was found.
Sometimes I’ll just stand back and admire the results for a moment. “I made that.” Like giving birth. Best when it’s Type 3.5 on the Bristol Stool Chart.
The baby book we had said something like: “Don’t worry about how often it poops. Some kids poop all the time. Some kids don’t. If your baby poops more often than weekly, that’s normal”
The difference between when you have a good one, and your ass slams shut again, and one where the turd breaks off with its head still up the pipe, is like the difference between night and day.
When I’m regular, it’s once a day, in the morning. But I’m not usually regular. Anything between a few times a week and a few times a day. I’m probably not going to answer the poll.
