I have had IBS-D for decades, so 1-5x daily is not unusual. Since starting Ozempic about 2 years ago, my gut has slowed significantly. I can still have a 5x day, but I can also stretch that out to once every 3 days. I’d say 2x daily would be my norm.
Too much. I’m actually trying to find out right now why diarrhea strikes me right after I eat. I’m super bored with this shit (ha!), but in memory of @Maggie_the_Ocelot I persevere.
My GI system has slowed to 2-3 times per day. I used to go 4-5 times daily, and seven poopers, though rare, did happen. My wife can’t imagine it. She probably averages 5-6 loafs weekly (loaves?).
Once a day, just before I take a shower in the morning. There are some outliers, but that’s the usual. The ghost poop makes an occasional (dis)appearance.
As somebody who’s had a wildly varying daily schedule for the last 50ish years I find the idea of clockwork pooping insane. My wake-up time varies by 5 hours from day to day. Mealtimes might be immediately after wakeup, or 6 hours later. How the hell would clockwork pooping work in that world?
Me? Pooping? Eh, it’ll happen whenever it gets ready. WAG 6 to 72 hours after the last one. Unless I OD on coffee and cream. In which case it’s “shortly after standing up.”
I have been blessed with a largely trouble-free digestive system and normally make my “deposit” shortly after breakfast and my first (sometimes only) cup of caffeine for the day.
My mealtimes are pretty consistent, I exercise a lot (which helps to keep things moving in the gut), and I eat a lot. So, 3-4 times/day.
Also, I’ve never understood “Few things are more pleasurable than a robust evacuation.” I’ve never taken any pleasure in the process. It’s inconvenient and stinky. If I could do it less, I would.
Not to be gross (that ship has sailed, hasn’t it?), but when it all comes out on one long snake, and you feel completely emptied out when you are done, and you find you didn’t even need to use toilet paper…chef’s kiss
