I know about 1/2 dozen cross dressers. I know one guy that I have no idea how he would identify. Big strong guy about 6’4" Hairy face and hairy legs. He wears mens polo shirts with a ballerina tutu and some kind of glittery type ballerina looking shoes. Talks to men about men stuff, football, golf etc. Pretty well accepted as he has been around for a while. Not the least bit feminine. Sometimes I think he may dress like that so he can kick somebodies ass if they say something. No one to my knowledge has ever mouthed off to him LOL.
Every day counting my son. Pretty much every time I go to my corner Walmart grocery, and I’ve talked to him so often he felt comfortable telling me one day he’s not allowed to wear his binder to work because it’s “too distracting”. I offered to report this discrimination but he said no, he didn’t want to lose his job. That bothers me a lot.
Also my son’s best friend is trans, and they have a group of mixed trans m/f friends they hang out with, which is awesome. I mean it rarely even comes up when they hang unless they’re talking about troubles they face. They’re all 13-15 and my son is the only one in the group whose parents know, although I don’t know how they couldn’t. But they’re Christians and not the liberal so I get it.
I was quite surprised at my son’s new school I went through the "I know my son’s records say he is a female named … he is actually a male named… and many of the teachers let me know that there were quite a few trans students at the school and two teachers told me they had trans family members. I love how they offer that information. Seriously. I was prepared for uncomforable shifty eyes. My brother said he has at least a dozen trans students at his high school too and they have a support group after school. Gives me hope.
