How often do you think presidential motorcades are flipped off?

This happened recently, and a woman was fired, but I do not wish to discuss if that was fair or not. There’s other threads for that (or make one if you have to).

What I’m wondering is how often this happens. Not just the current president, but in general. Most presidents in the last few decades had somewhere near half the population unhappy with them being president, so I imagine there’s a lot of birds being thrown.

During the W. Bush years I’m pretty sure his motorcade passed me on my commute, and if it wasn’t such a surprise, I likely would have shot him the bird.

Does pretty much every motorcade trip have at least a couple middle finger incidences? Is there any way to know, like the driver mentioning it in an interview?

Damn - round Chicago when Obama used to fly in and shut down the Kennedy at rush hour, I’m sure middle fingers could have come close to 6 figures!

Probably all the time, chances are every time a motorcade passes by there are a few people (or many) that don’t like the current president or who are just pissed off because of the traffic problems the motorcade will cause.

Constantly.

I’m sure obscene gestures were directed at George Washington’s carriage on occasion.

I’d be surprised if it wasn’t common.

I used to have to travel the route between Greater Pitt and Pittsburgh daily and often got caught in motorcade stoppages for assorted candidates and office-holders. Don’t care who it was but if I was within sight of the car causing all of it my “salute” went up. Just my way of saying “welcome to Pennsylvania — now go bother those people in New York for a while”.

And this is from someone who only flips the bird at some car maybe once every 3-5 years.
