I have to have a quiet room. Having music playing or the TV going is too distracting. Since the OP title specifically asks how often, I indicated once daily (though occasionally some nights I’m just too damn tired). The survey should have asked whether or not we have sexual partners in our lives as this factor can easily influence how often one does it. I haven’t had a girlfriend in almost a year, so I imagine those of us who are without a partner are more likely going to indicate they indulge in self-play more often than those who are married, dating, etc.

For me, I have a hard time thinking about what the ‘average’ number of times a day I masturbate. See, sometimes, when I’m busy, I won’t masturbate for weeks at a time; I just won’t have enough free time to think about it. On the other hand, when on vacation, or when I have a lot of free time, I definitely make up for all those lost opportunities.

Yes I like to play music while I’m doing it. I’m a little paranoid someone in the house might hear me, so I always like to have some background noise playing.
The only significant locations they mentioned were in the shower and outdoors, neither of which seem that unusual. How about some interesting places? Anybody masturbate in a church? Or in the doctor’s office during that boring 10 minute stretch of time between when the nurse leaves and the doctor comes in? Or what about in a jacuzzi with other people sitting right next to you? Or during a long car drive? Or in a movie theater, etc, etc. You’d be surprised- you could be sitting in class and the person sitting next to you could be masturbating, without giving any suspicious indication of body language, facial expression, or, err, hand movements.
