The morning news is talking about a 14-year-old boy who is going to fly a helicopter from Compton, CA to Canada, where he plans to solo a helicopter and an airplane. (They’re making a big deal about it because [Instructor] ‘He’s a 14-year-old African-American kid who will solo an airplane and a helicopter on the same day, and it’s never been done before.’ Good for him, but not really news IMO.) In the U.S. you have to be 16 to solo a powered aircrafft. What’s the age in Canada? I assume it’s 14?
Mad daps to Jonathan Strickland! That’s pretty sweet. I hope all goes okay for him.
