A few months back there was a call for new moderators. How’s that search going?
During lockdown, I’ve been reading a lot of old threads and often run across a banned member who I remember as not being controversial. I’ve hesitated to send a
PM to a mod because I know they’re in such short supply and someone banned in 2010 shouldn’t be a priority.
I’m also trying not to report anything unless it’s an obvious thread in the wrong forum or a spammer.
We do still have moderators, and we do still have time to moderate (some of us, a lot more time than usual). If you want to ask a moderator a question, feel free to do so.
And please, please, please, if you think something needs to be reported, do so. Getting reports promptly makes things easier for us, not harder. It’s much better when we can stop something when it’s a small problem, before it turns into a big problem.
We have a considerable roster of candidates and have been looking through them.
We decided it was better to hold off on new people until we were through the message board upgrade procedure. Better to get all that behind us and then bring in the new folks.
So everybody hang tight, we’re still sorting things out.
