I was just wondering, when we move the detainees out of Guantanamo, to American jails, how safe will the detainees be.
I know they will most likely be kept in isolation and such, but I was wondering, would the other prisoners be sympathetic to them or hate these guys and try to get to them. You know like prisoners try to get to child molestors and such and beat them up?
I know isolation is supposed to be safer, but in practice it never works out that way. Even in SuperMax in Colorado, the reports say the criminals there had little trouble getting things, running gangs outside and such.
I know the feds would be under pressure not to let them come to harm but what the heck, give a $100 to the guard and drugs to some thug inside and look the other way while the thug decides to beat the crap out of the detainee.
Or do you think the prisoners would be sympathetic to the detainees?
