How should I display my souvenir hurricane glasses?

Over the years, I have collected a number of souvenir glasses. They’re all touristy kitch, but they represent my travels. My largest collection is hurricane glasses from Hard Rock Cafes around the country (and a few not in the country). I also have other types of glasses from HRC and hurricane and other glasses from other chains (House of Blues, Margaritaville, Pat O’brien’s, etc.)

Many of the glasses are displayed on a set of three floating shelves in our dining room. Those shelves are beyond full. I’m wondering if I should get more shelves and continue one with that, or is there another effective and safe way to display them.

So, do any Dopers collect these sorts of glasses? What do you do with them?

(As a bonus, any suggestions on how to make a HRC hurricane (the drink)? I just can’t seem to get the right mix of sweet and sour. My version, however, will knock you out!)

People I know who collect beer cans/bottles just keep adding shelves until they run out of room.

I have my beer glasses on shelves in my mancave. Many, many shelves.

ETA: I’ll try to post pics later of a shelving unit some guy had built for his beer glass collection.

I rotate mine. I also rotate other decorative items, such as mugs or framed pictures. My mother does the same with her various “display” books; she also changes which specific picture is being displayed. It is considered Acceptable for family members to change the picture to which the books are open.

Here you go. I sold a guy some of my duplicate glasses (20-25 IIRC). He paid me $40 for all the glasses, even though he was just after one rare glass in the bunch. He had a carpenter build and install 8 units identical to the one in the picture.

Nice. I like it. Nice wood and kind of a modern look to it.
