I was in the most obscure bar in the greater Seattle area last night drinking with one of the guys from http://www.lightintheattic.net/ and he was playing this funk cd on a laptop and I was just blown away.
gritty, incredibly funky and down right nasty. the girl is fantastic.
I will definitely be picking up a couple of her discs soon, and shes well worth the listen.
this kinda reminds me of the Sonics, one of those bands that just about vanished only to be rediscovered and re-released. what else is out there waiting to be found?
