"How To Be A Good Wife" - Snopes says "undetermined" but isn't it just over the top?

I have to disagree with you on this issue. Personally I think staying at home, taking care of the kids/house/dinner is far, far easier than going to a stressful job like mine. I’ve done both. I might get bored staying at home but I can’t agree that its as difficult as working in a position that requires a high degree of stress.

Oh thank goodness. Long have I yearned for understanding about the source of my disklikes.

I wish I could see this. Is it out of copyright?

At the motel I stayed at a few weeks ago they had some random books, one of which was an etiquitte guide from the 50s. It included such gems as “It doesn’t matter if a man is 102 years old, missing all his faculties, and broke, there is always some women willing to take a chance and marry him.” Bachelor men were treated as a rare prize and told that there was no reason for them to stay at home, ever, since they woud have invitations to parties every day. It recommended that men wash their hair once a week so their hair oil wouldn’t go rancid, while women were advisied to bathe and change clothes twice every day.
