A friend of mine for some bizarre reason got convinced by someone to take up Avon. Not only does he know next to nothing about make-up, but knows almost nothing about sales or marketing in general.
Anyone out there ever have success selling Avon? What tips would you give someone in his position?

I very occasionally buy Avon things from an acquaintance - but I must say, I’d feel a bit funny about buying anti-aging cream, Skin-So-Soft and rose-scented candles from a guy who couldn’t share opinions on these products.
But Avon sells a lot more than make-up and cosmetics…maybe he’s going after the hunting outdoorsy crowd for Skin-So-Soft sales?
How attractive was the person that signed him up. Assuming it was a woman, I would say that his reasons for signing on aren’t that bizarre and actually quite easy to figure out.
