It may seem obvious, but I wonder if I’m doing it wrong. I can cut a few slices, but even if I gnaw on what’s left, I always seem to end up with a fair amount of meat wrapped around that huge pit.
The closer you get to the pit, the stringier the flesh is. It might look like there’s a lot left, but it’s not really worth eating.
The best way to eat a mango is standing over the sink.
Find one of those spoons with the fork tines on it. Methinks it is called a “spork.” Cut the sucker in half, tie on a bib, lean over the sink and DIG IN!
