How to find my life insurance policy information

A question for you knowledgeable folks.

I have had a term life insurance policy for the last fifteen years that I purchased when I lived in Texas. Unfortunately I lost all paperwork associated with it a long time ago (including policy number). So I do not know exactly which company the policy is with. Every month the policy premium is auto withdrawn from my bank account (a very small amount so it is not a major concern for me). I must have setup automatic debit when I started the policy. I know the company name is Garden State from the withdrawal transaction comment.

In order to track the policy, I filed a policy locator a few months ago with the associated fee but the search was not successful. I received around 25 letters from various insurance companies saying they could not locate any policy in their records with my name.

So I am at a loss on how to find this policy. I would appreciate it if you could give me guidance on what to do. I think I can stop the automatic withdrawal from my bank (with a stop payment fee) if I am not successful. Any other ideas? Thanks.

This may be a stupid question but have you tried contacting Garden State Life Insurance Company in League City, TX?

Another approach is to contact the bank the transaction is being processed through.

Enter the routing number of the transaction into this search form:
