This is the first year that I’ve tried fantasy baseball, and I keep getting screwed by teams sitting some of my players. Is there any way to find out the starting lineup for all positions for MLB games before they begin?
Check http://www.sportsline.com/mlb/scoreboard before game time for the listed Line-ups. At about 2 hours before first pitch they are around 95% accurate. The Line-up can be changed until just shortly before game time so no site will be 100% accurate. It also helps to see if one of your players is listed day to day with a minor injury.
I don’t fantasy baseball, how long before game time do you need to know?
Jim
Thanks for the link. I think I can make subs pretty much until the game starts.
Remember that lineups aren’t “official” until they are exchanged before the game. There can be guys subbed out just before gametime.
I recall a Dodgers game once in New York where Wilton Guerrero was scheduled to be the leadoff hitter. But the Dodgers traded him just before game time and activated Eric Young from the DL to take his spot. So Guerrero was about to walk up to the plate when Young tapped him on the shoulder and told him that he was out of the game. And the team.
Bobby Valentine, managing the Mets, was not happy.
