Forgive this stupid newbie question, I’m trying to come up to speed as quick as I can. In some threads I noticed posters are able to link to specific posts in another thread. I know how I can get the thread URL, how do you find the URL to jump to a particular post?
Links to specific posts take the form
[url=http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?postid=1127953#post1127953]Link[/url**]**
You can get the post number (inserted after both “postid” and “#post”) by holding your mouse over the quote button at the bottom of that post; it will be at the end of the URL displayed in the status bar at the bottom of your browser.
